Design Story

Designed for the engineer who’s been burned by LH vs RH torque traps and now checks thread direction like a reflex.

Some people argue about politics; mechanical engineers argue about thread direction. Left-hand or right-hand, the fundamental mechanics remain the same: if you exceed the yield strength, you're going to sheer the bolt. This design is for the professional who knows that thread direction might solve a vibrational loosening issue, but it won't save you from a poorly calibrated torque wrench. A deeply satisfying inside joke for anyone who spends their days reviewing fastener specs and torque charts. Deployed on our relaxed women's fit (Bella+Canvas 6400). A high-performance piece of STEM clothing designed to handle whatever torque your day requires.

Best For

Best for women in mechanical design, assembly, or maintenance who’ve stripped enough fasteners to respect every arrow on the drawing.

  • Women in mechanical engineering.
  • Female hardware designers.
  • Automotive technicians.
  • Technical leads who demand strict adherence to torque specifications.

Gift Guide

A spot-on gift for female mechanics, machinists, and engineers who can spot a left-hand thread from across the shop.

The perfect gift for the female mechanical engineer who corrects everyone on fastener terminology. Give her this shirt, and watch her nod in silent approval at the technical accuracy.
